Directions & Map

Coming to Ipswich from the North/Midlands/Norwich direction via the A14:-

Take the first exit off to Ipswich and follow Bury Road and then Norwich Road in towards the Town Centre.
  • After approx 2 miles turn left at a double roundabout on to Valley Road. Continue straight ahead (over roundabouts and lights).
  • Pass the cemetery on your right, over a small railway bridge and after 400-500 yards you will see the Fire Station on your left, next to the Royal George Pub and a roundabout.
  • Turn right at that roundabout and Sidegate Guest House is a few hundred yards further on the right, opposite the primary school.

Coming to Ipswich from the South/London direction via the A12:-

On the outskirts of Ipswich there is an interchange roundabout with the A14 (you will see a large Toys R Us store on the other side of the roundabout). Go straight over and follow the road into Ipswich.
  • After approx 2 miles you will arrive at a traffic light junction at the bottom of a long downhill section. Go straight over these lights, keeping in the left hand lane until you reach the second traffic light junction about 200 yards further on. Turn left here into Yarmouth Road.
  • Continue straight on over all lights and roundabouts for about a mile and a half until you pass the cemetery on your right and go over a small railway bridge. About 400-500 yards after that bridge you will see the Fire Station on your left, next to the Royal George Pub and a roundabout.
  • Turn right at that roundabout and Sidegate Guest House is a few hundred yards further on the right, opposite the primary school.
